ASX 200: -1.6% Declined amid broad-based weakness across sectors and with the downside led by materials, mining, resources, and tech. Nikkei 225: -0.8% Retreated amid a higher yield environment and ongoing rate hike expectations, while BoJ board member Masu also stuck to the hawkish hymn sheet. KOSPI -1.2% Declined at the open but is off today's worst levels as SK Hynix rebounded from intraday lows. Hang Seng & Shanghai Comp: Hang Seng -1.4% / Shanghai Comp -0.2% Chinese markets conform to the subdued mood across the region in the absence of any bullish drivers and after the PBoC conducted open market operations but kept the amount at a paltry CNY 3bln. US Equity Futures: Mixed Price action is range-bound ahead of the incoming inflation metrics and with little reaction seen to US President Trump's pledge to give every US adult a 'Trump dividend' of USD 5,000 if the GOP win the Midterms. European Equity Futures +0.1% Indicate a marginally positive cash market open with Euro Stoxx 50 futures up 0.1% after the cash market closed with losses of 1.6% on Wednesday.
