Rheinmetall (RHM GY) and AID are set to make an important contribution to modernize the anti-tank capabilities of the Italian Army

Rheinmetall’s Italian subsidiary RWM Italia and Italy’s defence agency AID in February signed an MoU to upgrade and extend the service life of MATS anti-tank mines in the Italian Army’s inventory The new MATS MK2 will improve safety standards and combat effectiveness.  RWM Italia will act as design authority, with upgrade work on several hundred thousand units due to begin within 12 months.
