US President Trump signs order on securing critical defense supply chains; order aims to boost domestic critical mineral acquisition

Order requires contractors to exhaust options for domestic products and map critical mineral and component supply chains for weapons systems.  Threatens defense contractors with loss of contracts if they fail to replace risky foreign suppliers.  To make it harder for defense contractors to obtain waivers for banned foreign critical minerals and materials.
