Japanese Election coverage: Exit polls across various outlets project a victory for the PM Takaichi's ruling coalition LDP; generally see a single party majority, with the possibility of a two-thirds majority with its current partner JIP

Jiji Press: Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party and its coalition partner, the Japan Innovation Party, are projected to win around 300 seats, giving the LDP a standalone majority.  The opposition Centrist Reform Alliance is expected to suffer major losses, while Sanseito and Team Mirai are forecast to gain seats.  NHK: NHK projects that Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party and its coalition partner, the Japan Innovation Party, will secure a two-thirds majority in the Lower House, with the LDP likely winning a majority on its own and possibly up to 300 seats.  Meanwhile, the main opposition Centrist Reform Alliance is expected to lose around half its seats.  Nikkei: The Nikkei projects that the LDP is set to secure a single party majority.  A chart posted on the outlets site projects the LDP to secure 256 seats (majority required 233).
